The Irish Festival of Wellington is all about celebrating our 'Irishness'. Focussing on St Patrick's Day, celebrated around the world by the Irish-born and those of Irish descent, the Festival is a diverse collection of activities organised, in the main, by the three local Irish Societies - in Wellington, the Hutt Valley, and on the Kapiti Coast.
The Festival aims to foster and promote Irish culture and traditions, and to celebrate the unique contribution the Irish have made (and continue to make) to New Zealand society
The Societies welcome those who wish to join them. After all, "it's never too late to be Irish!"
